Science and Engineering Fair Seeks Sponsors
Volunteers and sponsors are being sought to help out with the 58th annual St. Mary’s County Science and Engineering Fair on Jan. 27, 2018. The Patuxent Partnership is helping St. Mary’s County Public Schools publicize the need.

Southern Maryland Math Circle will hold its next session Saturday, Dec. 9, 2017, from 10 am to noon at the Lexington Park Library.

Night of Engineering Offered at CSM
College of Southern Maryland is able to boast a number of partnerships in the community with businesses and organization. One of the most important partnerships will be highlighted on Dec. 6 during the Night of Engineering, co-sponsored by The Patuxent Partnership.
Arctic Domain Topic of Defense Forum
US Air Force Maj. Gen. Randy “Church” Kee will be the keynote speaker at the annual Patuxent Defense Forum sponsored by The Patuxent Partnership and the Center for the Study of Democracy at St. Mary’s College of Maryland. The “The Arctic Domain: From Economics to National Security” forum will be held 8:30 a.m. to 5 p.m. Tuesday, Dec. 12, 2017.
Digital Integration Is Topic of Panel
Learn about the ins and outs of digital integration in the US military during an event Dec. 7, 2017, in Lexington Park. “NAVAIR Digital Integration” will be hosted by The Patuxent Partnership, the Association of Naval Aviation’s Squadron #18, and the John Glenn Squadron of the Marine Corps Aviation Association.
TPP Quadcopter Initiative Starts in November
The Patuxent Partnership has initiated a UAS/Quadcopter Initiative in St. Mary’s County for high school students, using a STEM-for-All grant from the Office of Naval Research. The initiative will provide information and resources for students who have created Quadcopter teams.
