The St. Mary’s County Health Department will offer free flu vaccines to children ages 3 to 18 at its SMCHD COVID-19 testing sites.
Volunteers Ready to Read to Children of Frontline Heroes
A new Reading for St. Mary’s Heroes initiative honors the service of frontline and essential workers of the COVID-19 pandemic, including health care providers, public health professionals, law enforcement, emergency medical services, firefighters, public works, teachers, grocery store workers, and others.
Health Department Recommends Flu Shots
The St. Mary’s County Health Department recommends flu vaccinations for community members over the age of 6 months.
Expanded COVID Testing Hours Available
The St. Mary’s County Health Department will offer expanded COVID-19 testing hours from 8 am to 7 pm on Tuesdays and Thursdays during October at the Harm Reduction Program Office in Lexington Park.
Community Corrections Center Plan Introduced
The St. Mary’s County Equity Task Force, comprised of the St. Mary’s County Sheriff’s Office, health department, and public school system is announcing plans for the launch of a new Community Corrections Center.
4 Drive-Thru Vaccination Clinics Planned
Four drive-thru clinics will offer free back-to-school vaccinations for children living in St. Mary’s County. Dates are September 18, 19, 23, and 26.
