An airport plan is the topic of a presentation and display of county plans for an Airport Innovation District surrounding the regional airport north of Wildewood. History was made recently when a University of Maryland UAS delivered a donor kidney to surgeons at the University of Maryland Medical Center in Baltimore for transplantation. The testing and prep work for the flight was conducted at St. Mary’s County Regional Airport at the university’s unmanned aircraft test site.
