Museum Seeks Historic Photos, Documents
St. Clement’s Island Museum is seeking historic documents, photos, and other significant objects related to St. Clement’s Island and the Colton’s Point area from the 20th century and earlier.
‘Water Taxi’ Painting Donated to Museum
St. Mary’s County artist Nicole Stewart has donated one of her paintings to the St. Clement’s Island Museum. The oil on canvas painting is titled “Water Taxi.” It will be part of the museum’s upcoming art auction fundraiser.
Water Taxi Rides to St. Clement’s Island Resume
The St. Clement’s Island Water Taxi, the only publicly accessible boat transportation from St. Clement’s Island Museum to St. Clement’s Island State Park, will restart public cruises.

Visit a Museum & Help Feed Local Families
St. Mary’s Caring Soup Kitchen wants to help feed residents — most especially local children — in need during the county schools’ spring break week through its Feed the Families program.
Museum Sites Waive Fees Saturday for Military Members
On Armed Forces Day, May 18, St. Clement’s Island Museum and Piney Point Lighthouse Museum will offer active duty and retired members of the military free regular admission to the museums during normal operating hours, 10 am to 5 pm.
Museum Unveils New Exhibits, Hosts Appraiser Fair
Two exhibits, one portraying a small slice of life, places to visit, and some of the people who live in St. Mary’s County and business memorabilia, are set to open to the public at the annual Appraiser Fair on Jan. 26, 2019, at the St. Clement’s Island Museum in Colton’s Point.
