SMHEC Cinema Series Features ‘Theeb’
The Fall 2016 World Cinema Series is being presented at the Southern Maryland Higher Education Center in California, MD. There is free admission to the series. Showing at 6:30 pm Thursday, Dec. 8, will be “Theeb” by director Naji Abu Nowar.

Garden in Lights Returns to AMG Dec. 2
Annmarie Sculpture Garden and Art Center in Solomons has released its schedule for Annmarie Garden in Lights for the 2016 holiday season. The event runs from Dec. 2 until Jan. 1. However, the park will be closed Dec. 5, 6, 7, 12, 13, 24, and 25.
‘Annie Jr.’ Makes Its Way to St. Leonard
New Direction Community Theater will present its annual kid’s holiday show, “Annie Jr.,” with an all-“no adults” cast at 7 pm Dec. 2 and 3 and 9 and 10 and 3 pm Dec. 3 and 4 and 10 and 11 at the Long Beach Community Center in St. Leonard.
‘The Game’s Afoot’ at Three Notch
The Newtowne Players will perform “The Game’s Afoot/Holmes for the Holidays” Dec. 2 through Dec. 18 at Three Notch Theatre at 21744 South Coral Drive in Lexington Park.
Second Performance in Recital Series Set
The second performance in the newly created Benny C. Morgan Recital Series is set for 8 pm Nov. 19 at the College of Southern Leonardtown Campus, and faculty member Hannah Baslee is set to perform.
