VP Harris to Keynote Virtual Program
Congressman Steny H. Hoyer announced that the 40th annual Black History Month celebration will go virtual this year. It will take place at 10 am Feb. 27, 2021, and Vice President Kamala Harris will be the keynote speaker. The theme of this year’s celebration is “The Black Family: Representation, Identity, and Diversity.”

House Majority Leader Steny H. Hoyer spoke in support of the Emmett Till Antilynching Act, which passed the House with bipartisan support late last month. The legislation makes lynching a hate crime under federal law.
