Arctic Domain Topic of Defense Forum
US Air Force Maj. Gen. Randy “Church” Kee will be the keynote speaker at the annual Patuxent Defense Forum sponsored by The Patuxent Partnership and the Center for the Study of Democracy at St. Mary’s College of Maryland. The “The Arctic Domain: From Economics to National Security” forum will be held 8:30 a.m. to 5 p.m. Tuesday, Dec. 12, 2017.
Thanksgiving Holiday Closings
The College of Southern Maryland will close for Thanksgiving break from Nov. 22-26. All campuses will resume a normal schedule Monday, Nov. 27.

NAVAIR Hosts CH-53K Test Flight
NAVAIR says the CH-53K King Stallion flew a 90-minute, first-of-its-kind, orientation test flight Nov. 7 at NAS Patuxent River for an Israeli Air Force official.
Innovation Projects Honored at CSM
College of Southern Maryland professor Michelle Simpson and associate professor Dr. Cicero Fain III were honored for their innovation project, “The Integration of Charles County Schools, 1965-1968: An Oral History Project.”
