April 7: The Maryland Department of Health website reports the number of confirmed coronavirus cases in Maryland has increased to 4,371. Reported cases in Southern Maryland: 46 in St. Mary’s County, 41 in Calvert County, and 136 in Charles County.
Hammett Leaves SMECO Board After 30 Years
Samuel “Jack” Hammett has resigned his seat on the Southern Maryland Electric Cooperative Board of Directors. He served on the board for 30 years.
