TPP Opens Scholarship Competition
TPP Pathways Scholarship application for 2022-2023 will remain open until January 31, 2023. The Patuxent Partnership (TPP) Pathways Scholarship will be awarded to graduating high school seniors who plan on attending the College of Southern Maryland (CSM) and majoring in engineering to support STEM workforce development at NAWCAD.

STEM Students: JSHS Deadline Is Nov. 18
JSHS Virtual Mentoring is available for high school students pursuing original STEM research with plans to compete at a Regional JSHS Symposium held at St. Mary’s College of Maryland, March 4, 2023. Locally sponsored by The Patuxent Partnership, JSHS connects students with STEM professionals to receive online mentoring on their projects, as well as education and STEM career paths.
US’s Century in South China Sea
The Patuxent Partnership and Center for the Study of Democracy will host Greg Poling, senior fellow for Southeast Asia, director of the Asia Maritime Transparency Initiative, and author of “On Dangerous Ground: America’s Century in the South China Sea,” on Nov. 9, 2022, 6 – 7 pm at St. Mary’s Hall, St. Mary’s College of Maryland.

Get a JSHS Mentor Or Become One
The Patuxent Partnership, the catalyst for bringing a regional symposium of the Maryland Junior Science and Humanities Symposium to St. Mary’s College of Maryland, reminds students, the deadline to apply for the March 4, 2023 symposium is November 18, 2022. The JSHS program is a collaborative effort of all branches of the US military, and is always seeking mentors as well as mentees.
TPP Annual Meeting Oct. 27 – Abell & Kaselemis
The Patuxent Partnership 2022 Annual Meeting is Oct. 27, 8:30-9:30 am. Executive Director Bonnie Green will provide the year-in-review and speakers Eileen Abell and Chris Kaselemis will update the community on the University System of MD in Southern MD and the AeroPark Innovation District.
