At Pax, a Scaled-Back 245th Celebration
Today marks the US Navy’s 245th birthday. NAS Pax River’s celebration will take place this morning starting at 11:30 am on base with retired CAPT Glen Ives, a former commanding officer at Pax, as the speaker. The pandemic is forcing a scaled-back celebration this year.

Great Mills High School in Lexington Park, Maryland, is at the top of the list — for March 20 — of the 17 school shootings in the US since the start of this year.
RADM Gordon Peters New Boss at NAVAIR
RADM Gordon Peters will be the new boss of Naval Air Systems Command. He replaces VADM Paul Grosklags as the top officer at NAVAIR. Also at NAVAIR, RADM Brian Corey will replace RADM Mark Darrah as the program executive officer for unmanned aviation and strike weapons.
