The presidential election season is nearing its end. Voters will head to the polls bringing an end to the barrage of misinformation, disinformation, ads, and campaign promises that have inundated our TVs, text messages, mail, and social media accounts. Millions have already voted nationwide. Millions more will head to the polls Tuesday, Nov. 5. Get out and vote.

The Maryland Department of Natural Resources announces regulations for the summer-fall recreational striped bass fishing season which began May 16.

MD DNR released this year’s juvenile striped bass survey, which tracks the reproductive success of the iconic rockfish in the Chesapeake Bay. The 2022 young-of-year index is 3.6, which is slightly higher than last year’s result, but remains below the long-term average of 11.3.
