Digital Literacy Workshops Set @ Libraries

St. Mary’s County Library will offer digital literacy classes, drop-in sessions, and one-on-one sessions for local residents.
The library was among more than 100 public libraries nationwide to receive funding by the Public Library Association to increase digital literacy using Digitallearn.org resources, powered by a $2.7 million contribution from AT&T.
Free basic computer classes will be offered at all three library locations on topics including Internet Basics, Video Conferencing Basics, Cybersecurity Basics, Email Basics, Computer Basics (Windows 10), and Mobile Device Basics (Android and iOS). Classes will be available in Spanish at Lexington Park Library. Participants who complete one or more of the Digital Literacy classes will receive a $10 gift card, while supplies last.
In addition to classes, the library will also hold Get Tech Smart: Drop-In Tech Help sessions at each of the library locations. Whether you have a phone, tablet, or computer, we’re here to help you build more confidence using your device. Refreshments will be provided. No registration required, just drop-in.
