Pony Tales: Read to a Pony Pal!

The Greenwell Foundation in Hollywood invites visitors to pick out a book and read to one of its ponies or other barnyard animals.
The free Pony Tales program from 2 to 4pm Saturday, May 9, introduces young readers and their families to the joys and benefits of reading and spending time with horses.
The day also includes a fun craft activity, an interactive sensory station, and a special storytime at 3pm. Readers will enjoy making a new friend and experiencing the calming effects of interacting with horses, all while building their self-confidence, communication, and reading skills.
Another Pony Tales program will be offered from 2 to 4pm June 13. Enjoy the special Pony Tales with some extra fun provided by the St. Mary’s County Library. The mobile library unit will be on site, and library staff will lead a craft and special storytime.
Advance registration is required for all guests as space is limited. Click here.
