Library Unveils Perks Partner Program

There’s a new way for businesses to partner with the St. Mary’s County libraries.
Through the Perks Partners program, the library will spread the word about local business through its network, including social media, in-library messaging, and email messaging. In return, participating businesses will offer a 10% discount to library card holders.
The collaboration will enhance the reach of local businesses and offer another avenue for advertising services, while also raising awareness of library offerings and attracting new library card holders.
“Our combined monthly reach within our community is over 80,000, including email, social media, and website visitors,” said Library Director Michael Blackwell, “and we believe this will be a great way to enhance communication, benefitting businesses and library users.”
Perks Partners are welcome to sign up on the library website. After businesses sign up online, a library staff person will contact them to bring them a window decal to display at their business.
As a Perks Partner, businesses agree to provide St. Mary’s County Library cardholders, upon presentation of their library card (physical or digital), with a 10% discount on all products or services the business provides, unless otherwise mentioned as an exclusion at the time of the agreement.
