Mural Unveiled at Pax River Village Center

Artist Rosalia Torres-Weiner has created a mural at the Pax River Village Center in Lexington Park.
“Painting this mural in Lexington Park has been such a gift! Every brushstroke honors the Latino community and the parents who built the foundation and the young generation rising to shape Maryland’s future,” Torres-Weiner wrote on Facebook. “Gracias to St. Mary’s Arts Council, Susie Glauner, Atlantic Realty, and all the amazing volunteers + artists who made this dream real. Los quiero mucho!!!”
Ms. Torres-Weiner was assisted by Adriana Reloba.
A ribbon-cutting ceremony was held in September.
The St. Mary’s County Department Economic Development called it a “gorgeous addition to the ongoing revitalization of Pax River Village Center,” while thanking the St. Mary’s County Arts Council and Atlantic Realty for their commitment to creating meaningful spaces in St. Mary’s.

The mural can be seen in the Pax River Village Center at 21703 Great Mills Road. It is next to the El Rinconcito restaurant.
