‘Grandma’s Hands’ Screening @ Sotterley
Join Historic Sotterley on November 13 for a special screening of the short film, “Grandma’s Hands.” The screening will be followed by a panel discussion with members of the cast and crew.
Barber Family Book Topic of Library Program
“The Barber Family: From Slavery, Through Segregation, and The Civil Rights Movement” book discussion will be held from 2 to 3:30pm Sunday, October 20, at the Lexington Park Library.
Sotterley to Present People & Perspectives
Historic Sotterley will present People & Perspectives with Dan Dawson, co-founder of Tobacco Barn Distillery, at 7pm September 18, 2024.
Sotterley Plans Day of Unity Celebration
Historic Sotterley is partnering with other local historic sites this year to promote stories from Southern Maryland for International Underground Railroad Month. It will offer three events, starting with a kickoff August 24 of the Day of Unity and Healing.
AeroPark Farmer’s Market Set Later in the Year
Historic Sotterley has announced that it is unable to continue to host the AeroPark Farmer’s Market every month in 2024. Instead, the markets will be held in November and December with the dates to be announced later.
Students to Compete in History Contest
St. Mary’s County History Day on March 16 will be sponsored by Historic Sotterley, in partnership with St. Mary’s County Library and Maryland Humanities. The event will be held from 9am to 3pm in Leonardtown.
