SoMD 2030 Supports AI & STEM Summer Camps
The A. James Clark School of Engineering of the University of Maryland at College Park will hold two free summer camp programs at the University System of Maryland at Southern MD. The camps are made possible with financial support from The Patuxent Partnership’s SoMD 2030 workforce initiative.

Join the University of Maryland MATRIX Lab at the USMSM SMART Building for a series of presentations and discussions. The next event, “Explainable and Trustworthy Machine Learning” with Dr. Sanghamitra Dutta, will be held 5-7pm April 2, 2025.
Quantum Technologies Topic of TPP Program
NAWCAD physicist Josh Grossman will present “Quantum Technologies: Impacts for National Security and Society” March 28. The program is sponsored by The Patuxent Partnership and the Center for the Study of Democracy at St. Mary’s College of Maryland.
Taiwan Topic of Patuxent Defense Forum
The Patuxent Defense Forum “Taiwan as a Flashpoint for Conflict Between the US and China” will be held from 8am to 5pm April 1, 2025, at St. Mary’s College of Maryland.
TPP: Deadline for NAWCAD Workshop Extended to March 14
Calling all rising high school juniors and seniors. NAWCAD will offer Southern Maryland students a free summer workshop to help prep them for the American workforce. The application process has been extended to Friday, March 14, 2025.
NAWCAD Physicist to Discuss Quantum Technologies
Quantum Technologies: Impacts for National Security and Society will be presented by Josh Grossman, a physicist with NAWCAD’s Quantum Research & Applications Branch. The program March 28 is co-sponsored by The Patuxent Partnership.
Workforce Development Topic of Forum Feb. 26
The public is invited to participate in the Southern Maryland Multi-Generational Workforce Forum on Wednesday, February 26, from 8:30am to noon at the University System of Maryland at Southern Maryland.
