The Leadership Southern Maryland’s 17th Executive Program Class of 2025 has been selected. Elections Board to Demo Ballot Scanner
A logic and accuracy demonstration on the DS200 ballot scanner unit will be conducted at 10am Friday, October 11, 2024, for the 2024 Presidential General Election at the St. Mary’s Board of Elections office at 23250 Hollywood Road in Leonardtown.

St. Mary’s River Watershed Association’s RiverFest, a celebration of the river and its watershed, will be held from 11am to 4pm September 28, 2024, in St. Mary’s City. The Patuxent Partnership is one of the event sponsors.
Lessons Learned in Red Sea, Ukraine
US Navy ADM Lisa Franchetti, chief of naval operations, said the service is taking lessons from its operations in the Red Sea to help US military leaders prepare for a potential future conflict with China. The service is also looking at what Ukraine has done to hold off the Russians in the Black Sea.

Two Earn Deputy of the Year Awards
