Avalon Bldg. Supply Awarded Two Contracts
Hollywood Firm Is MBE Supplier for Paints, Environmental Protection Materials
Avalon Building Supply Inc. of Hollywood, MD, has been awarded two contracts to provide materials to the state of Maryland and the C.W. Wright Construction Co.
Avalon Building Supply and McCormick Paint Co. of Rockville, MD, were awarded the blanket purchase order, or BPO, to supply paint and sundries to any Maryland state or county agency, Maryland State Highway Administration, nonprofit organizations, public schools, fire and rescue departments, and any agency supported by the state of Maryland. These agencies are invited to take advantage of the state’s purchasing power and get the lowest possible prices. Avalon Building Supply will be serving five counties — Prince George’s, Anne Arundel, St. Mary’s, Charles, and Calvert.
In a second award, the small Hollywood, MD-based company also was the successful bidder in providing $108,000 of environmental protection filter sock material to the C.W. Wright Construction Co. based in Virginia for work being performed on the Eastern Shore.
“We are specializing in providing reliable on-time delivery of building materials to businesses and government customers who are looking to partner with small businesses,” Avalon Building Supply owner Mary Bohanan said.
