SMECO Begins Board Election Process
Southern Maryland Electric Cooperative conducts its members’ meeting to elect directors and vote on bylaw changes. This year’s meeting will be August 20. The board election process has begun.
SMECO Mails Board Ballots, Meeting Notice
Southern Maryland Electric Cooperative has mailed 2024 annual meeting ballots and notices to all SMECO members. Completed ballots must be received by August 14.
SMECO Board of Director Ballots Mailed
SMECO has mailed ballots for its board of directors election. Online and mail-in ballots must be received by August 17, 2023. The annual members’ meeting will be August 24.
SMECO Elects Board of Directors
Southern Maryland Electric Cooperative elected its Board of Directors at the co-op’s 83rd annual meeting held August 26, 2021, at the Mechanicsville Volunteer Fire Department Social Hall in Mechanicsville.
SMECO Members Elected at Annual Meeting
Southern Maryland Electric Cooperative held its 81st annual meeting Aug. 29, 2019, at Middleton Hall in Waldorf, and after counting close to 8,000 votes, members from all three Southern Maryland counties were elected to the board of directors.
SMECO to Hold Energy Assistance Fair
The Southern Maryland Electric Cooperative wants to remind customer-members that they may be eligible for help paying their electric bill from the Maryland Energy Assistance Program or the Electric Universal Service Program offered by the state.
