The following is the updated list of St. Mary’s County closings, cancellations, and postponements related to the COVID-19 public health threat. While at this time, there are no identified cases of COVID-19 in St. Mary’s County, residents are encouraged to continue social distancing measures by avoiding crowded areas and restricting travel and localize movement.

During Outbreak, SMECO Stops Disconnects for Non-Payment

In response to the COVID-19 outbreak, Southern Maryland Electric Cooperative is suspending electric disconnects for non-payment.
