Hoyer Announces Funding for Vets Housing

Congressman Steny H. Hoyer announces US Department of Housing and Urban Development awards $44,220 to Calvert County Housing Authority to help find permanent homes for homeless veterans. The grant funding is provided through the HUD-Veterans Affairs Supportive Housing program and can be used for housing homeless vets in Calvert, Charles, and St. Mary’s counties.

On one day in June 2016, a new facility with medical care beds, crisis beds for the homeless with a washer/dryer and shower, and a full-service center for veterans opened in Lexington Park, MD. Three Oaks is praised for doing so much, for so many, in a shared space.

The Three Oaks Veterans Resource Center will offer legal, health and employment services, PTS counseling, and more in Lexington Park. The center and its services are open to all veterans, their families, and civilians.

Golfers Sought for Gelrud Memorial Tournament
