Open House Set for Airport Project
An open house to discuss the pending project to relocate the existing taxiway and expand the apron area at the St. Mary’s County Regional Airport is set for 6 pm Thursday, Sept. 13, 2018, inside the Captain Walter F. Duke Terminal Building at the airport. The airport project is in accordance with the Airport Master Plan.

Hoyer Opposes Employee Relocation
Congressman Steny H. Hoyer has sent a letter to Secretary of Agriculture Sonny Perdue to express his opposition to the Department of Agriculture’s announcement that it plans to relocate the Economic Research Service and the National Institute of Food and Agriculture out of the Washington, DC, area. Close to 700 federal employees would be affected by the relocation.

First F-35C Flight Mishap Costs $2 Million
An F-35C flying from USS Abraham Lincoln was damaged during an aerial refueling exercise. Debris from an aerial refueling basket was ingested into the F-35C’s engine intake, resulting in damage costing about $2 million.
