September Report Shows Job Gains
The September 2018 jobs reports shows the unemployment rate declined to 3.7 percent and the economy added 134,000 jobs.

Southern Maryland Electric Cooperative held its Annual Meeting on Aug. 29, 2018, at co-op headquarters in Hughesville. The board of directors election was conducted by mail before the meeting, yielding about 6,000 votes.
