Hoyer Announces Funding for Vets Housing
Congressman Steny H. Hoyer announces US Department of Housing and Urban Development awards $44,220 to Calvert County Housing Authority to help find permanent homes for homeless veterans. The grant funding is provided through the HUD-Veterans Affairs Supportive Housing program and can be used for housing homeless vets in Calvert, Charles, and St. Mary’s counties.

The non-scientific measurement, which is known as the “Sneaker Index,” helps to raise awareness about the health of the river.
