Communities surrounding the Webster Outlying Field are advised that noise-generating night-time testing events are scheduled to take place April 10 through April 12, 2024, from 5 to 9pm.
Probe Finds Pilot Error in F-35C Crash
Naval Air Forces investigators found that pilot error caused an F-35C Lightning II fighter jet to crash onto the deck of the aircraft carrier USS Carl Vinson before sliding into the South China Sea last year. The error “was not conducted in a reckless manner nor with malicious intent,” according to the Naval Air Forces Command.
Noise Advisories Set for Webster Field, NAS Pax
Communities surrounding the Webster Outlying Field are advised that four to six low-altitude helicopter nighttime testing events are scheduled to take place through Aug. 20, 2019. The nighttime test events are scheduled from 9 to 11 pm.
Pax River Noise Advisory This Summer
Communities surrounding NAS Patuxent River are advised that noise-generating testing events are scheduled to begin Monday, July 9, 2018, and continue through mid-August between 7 am and 11 pm daily.
