Summer Schedule Begins at CSM
Summer months at the College of Southern Maryland tend to attract a lot fewer students, yet the energy used to keep buildings open and running is the same and is serving a much smaller number of people. To curb this imbalance, CSM will initiate Code Green Fridays through its summer schedule, starting on May 27 and continuing until July 29, excluding July 8, 2016.
Register Now for CSM Kids’ and Teen College
Registration is now open for one of the best, most fun, and most educational ways a kid can spend the summer: College of Southern Maryland Kids’ and Teen College. This annual youth camp is celebrating its 30th year of offering programs that have kept the pace with technology and popular culture.
Walthour Brings Poetry to Children at CSM
Students at the St. Charles Children’s Learning Center on the La Plata campus of the College of Southern Maryland got a special treat April 21, 2016, as celebrity reader Dr. Janice T. Walthour read poetry to them for National Poetry Month.
Senior Fitness Day Coming Up at CSM
May 25 will be all about health and aging at the College of Southern Maryland’s Leonardtown campus. CSM’s Senior Health and Fitness Day from 10 am to 1 pm is the place to go for information on fitness, nutrition and overall health.
Brick Girls Win Robotics Challenge
The Brick Girls of Barstow Elementary, the school’s robotics team, took home the Robot Performance and Champion’s Award for elementary schools at the LEGO Robotics Challenge on April 16 at the College of Southern Maryland.

College of Southern Maryland students who have completed the requirements for associates degrees, certificates and programs will be walking across the state on Thursday, May 19, 2016, as spring graduates.
