CSM Graduates Will Walk May 19

College of Southern Maryland students who have completed the requirements for associates degrees, certificates, and programs will be walking across the stage on Thursday, May 19, 2016, as spring graduates.

Leading up to the commencement, students who have been inducted into the National Society of Leadership and Success will be honored at 5:30 pm Wednesday, May 18, 2016, and an honors reception will be held at 6:30 pm that day in the BI building on the La Plata campus. Students who have finished the highly rigorous nursing program will be recognized at a nursing recognition reception at 1 pm Thursday, May 19, in the PE building on the La Plata campus, and then the commencement will start at 6 pm. The plan is for commencement to be held on the AD building lawn, but if the weather is bad it will be held in the PE building.

Graduates who are participating in the commencement ceremony will be issued up to three tickets. Additional tickets are not issued because seating is limited and the tickets are issued based on the available seating capacity of the venue. Tickets are sent to the graduates through their email, so make sure your email is up to date when applying for graduation. No guests are allowed to enter the PE building, regardless of age, without a ticket and there are no exceptions. But if you have family members who still want to see the ceremony, a live simulcast will be broadcast in the overflow area of the fine arts building. Replacement tickets are not issued for any reason, so keep tickets in a safe place.
