A Back-to-School Surprise for Carver ES
The Patuxent River Naval Air Museum donated school supplies to George Washington Carver Elementary School in Lexington Park. The museum began the school supply drive at the beginning of the summer as a way to give back to the community.
Carver ES Librarian Earns Hero Award
April Wathen of George W. Carver Elementary School in Lexington Park has been named the Hero of Equitable Access in the School Library Journal’s 2017 School Librarian of the Year award contest.
