At the College of Southern Maryland, students can choose from more than 100 quality academic programs including an expanding array of associate degrees, certificates, and letters of recognition. CSM is constantly expanding and improving its programs to meet the demands of the workplace.

CSM also offers students the credits they need at a fraction of the cost. That means students will have more money to transfer to the university of their choice. In fact, the No. 1 reason students come to CSM is to transfer their credits. Last year alone, 1,960 CSM students transferred to 226 colleges and universities in 46 states.
CSM offers a rich academic experience with knowledgeable faculty members who care. At CSM, learning extends beyond the classroom. Students will be given invaluable opportunities to experience hands-on, community-based service learning, to travel and study abroad, to intern with local businesses, and much more. Add all of this to their resumes and they are headed toward a great future. The quality academic programs and instruction at CSM ensure students will have the skills they need to begin realizing their future.
At the College of Southern Maryland, in all credit courses, students are expected to spend a minimum of two hours completing out-of-class course work for every hour of instructional time. For online and hybrid courses, expect active instruction time and “out-of-class” course work to be comparable to a face-to-face courses with the same number of credits.
