Sirens on Aug. 3: This Is Only a Test

Exelon Calvert Cliffs Nuclear Power Plant will perform post-maintenance tests on two St. Mary’s County sirens.

There will be a full-cycle test of alert and notification sirens No. 41 and No. 45 in St. Mary’s on Wednesday, Aug. 3, 2016.

The test for Siren No. 41, at 25101 Sotterley Road in Hollywood, MD, is scheduled for noon.

The test for Siren No. 45, at 44691 White Oak Court in California MD, is scheduled for 12:30 p.m.

The full-cycle test includes a three-minute activation of sirens 41 and 45 only.

Citizens are asked to remember the scheduled testing and relay the information to friends, family and neighbors. If the sirens sound at any other time, residents should tune to one of the local radio stations listed below for information and instructions.
