SMECO Board Election Process Begins
The Southern Maryland Electric Cooperative Board of Directors appointed the 2022 Nominating Committee at its March meeting. The committee will meet in May to select candidates for the five board positions to be elected this year.

Southern Maryland Electric Cooperative’s nominating committee for the 2018 SMECO board elections met on May 23, 2018. Candidates for the five seats that are up for election have been chosen.

Ten members have been appointed by the Southern Maryland Electric Cooperative’s Board of Directors to the 2018 Nominating Committee scheduled to meet on Wednesday, May 23, 2018.

SMECO customer-members interested in being nominated should complete a Board of Directors Candidate Application. Deadline for submission is May 9, 2014; the nominating committee will convene May 17.
SMECO to Elect Five Board Members
With five seats to fill, SMECO will hold an election in August to fill seats on its Board of Directors. Nominations are still being accepted.
