Hoyer: Paycheck Fairness Act Will Help Ensure Equal Pay for Equal Work
April 2 was Equal Pay Day. On that day, the country recognizes the amount of time into the new year that women must work in order to earn, on average, what men earn the year prior for the same job.
Hoyer Marks Equal Pay Day
Each year on April 10, the United States marks the day it takes a woman, on average, to earn the amount as a man who has been doing the same work if both had started on the first day of January. Congressman Steny H. Hoyer released a statement to acknowledge Equal Pay Day.
