When doctors are doing four-week clinical rotations, they work long hours and are often coming from far away and need a place to stay. MedStar St. Mary’s Hospital in Leonardtown has opened a housing complex for these new residents and visiting physicians.

Artist Matus to Show Work at MedStar St. Mary’s
See the beautiful work of artist Bernard “Bernie” Matus at MedStar St. Mary’s Hospital in Leonardtown, Maryland, this fall. The artist’s photos and digital designs have been put on display in the atrium of the hospital. If any of the pieces are sold, Mr. Matus will donate a percentage of the proceeds to the hospital foundation’s scholarship fund.

National Cancer Survivors Day is Sunday, June 5, and MedStar St. Mary’s Hospital is joining the rest of the country in celebrating the event by hosting a free picnic on the lawn in front of the hospital at 1 pm that day.
