Opioid Crisis Is Topic of Session
On Sept. 21, the Healthy St. Mary’s Partnership, supported by MedStar St. Mary’s Hospital, will host a special session of the 2017 HSMP annual meeting on the Maryland opioid crisis.

Healthy St. Mary’s Partnership’s Access to Care Action Team will hold a Regional Healthcare Transportation Design Thinking Workshop from 8:30 am to 12:30 pm Thursday, Aug. 3, at the Charlotte Hall Veterans Home in Charlotte Hall.

MedStar Sessions Will Address Aphasia
Since June is National Aphasia Awareness Month, MedStar St. Mary’s Hospital will offer two sessions to help educate people about the communication disorder, which is estimated to affect approximately 2 million Americans. The sessions will be held June 27 and 29.
Meeting’s Focus Transportation for Health Care
The Healthy St. Mary’s Partnership, supported by MedStar St. Mary’s Hospital in Leonardtown, is planning a Healthcare Transportation Stakeholder meeting for June 27, 2017. The meeting is being held in place of the regularly scheduled meeting of the Access to Care Action Team meeting that was canceled earlier in June.
