Doctors, Officials Work to Curb Opioid Epidemic
It’s easy to forget that tragedy can strike in beautiful St. Mary’s County. However, the country’s opioid epidemic has spread everywhere, and MedStar St. Mary’s Hospital is doing what it can to help.
Opioid Crisis Is Topic of Session
On Sept. 21, the Healthy St. Mary’s Partnership, supported by MedStar St. Mary’s Hospital, will host a special session of the 2017 HSMP annual meeting on the Maryland opioid crisis.
CSM Hosts Forum on Opioid Addiction
Opioid addiction is a serious and growing concern. College of Southern Maryland’s Student Association at the Leonardtown Campus is hoping to educate the community and expand the dialogue about this problem by hosting a Community Heroin/Opioid Forum at 6 pm April 25. The forum will include a free screening of the documentary “Chasing the Dragon.”
