Job Fairs Set at Pax River

Looking to start a career right here in St. Mary’s County? Patuxent River Naval Air Station employers will gather together in one place for job fairs in 2016.

The 2016 Patuxent River MD Job Fairs are supported by The Fleet & Family Support Center and are scheduled for Tuesday, Aug. 16, and Tuesday, Nov. 15. Each job fair is scheduled from 3 to 7 pm and will be held at the Bay District Volunteer Fire Department social hall at 46900 S. Shangri-La Drive in Lexington Park, MD.

As the date of each job fair approaches, the participating companies will be posted online here. Use that same website to register for the event, and post or link a resume. The companies that plan to participate in the job fairs will access to resumes on the database the day after the fairs. If you pre-register, you’ll save time the day of the event when you arrive.

Professional dress is not just recommended for these fairs, it is required. Bring copies of your resume, if you have posted it online. As the year continues on, check the website often to look for new updates and announcements.

On the day of each job fair, there will be free resume seminars and a resume critique if you’d like to get feedback about your resume.

Companies and exhibitors should contact Jobzone to reserve space at the fairs. Marketing of each company begins upon receipt of their registration. Confirmed companies will have access to the resume database, where they can easily locate job seekers, no later than the day after the event.
