Catch ‘Em All at Chancellor’s Run

Catch 'Em All

Whether you’re a Level 8 or you’ve just downloaded the game, there will be a chance to Catch ‘Em All at the first-ever Pokemon in the Park from 7 to 10 pm Saturday, Sept. 17, 2016, at Chancellor’s Run Regional Park. Take Route 235 to Chancellor’s Run Road in Great Mills, MD.

This event will bring together fans of the game and local vendors in one place for an evening of fun and enjoyment of the newest pastime that is Pokemon Go! The park has six PokeStops and a gym. Sponsors will maintain lures and the first 100 people to check in at the St. Mary’s County Recreation and Parks table will get a ticket for a free hot dog, chips, and soda from the department. Concessions will be sold during the entire event at the Hall of Fame. Bells of St. Mary’s will be selling ice cream and treats.

Pokemon trainers should sign in and indicate in their trainer profile their total Pokemon caught to date, then check in before leaving to update the total. The person from each team who catches the most Pokemon at the event will be awarded a prize. Winners do not have to be present. Costumed characters will be at the park giving out small gifts, and free face painting will be available.

The event is free, but bring money for concessions. Sponsors of the event include Herbalife, Perfect Post, and Wishes Family Travel. If more sponsors are interested, they can call Christina Bishop at 301-475-4200, ext. 1802, or contact her via email at [email protected].
