Charter School Evacuation

While most St. Mary’s County Public Schools students will be returning to classes tomorrow, the Chesapeake Public Charter School was already in session today when the effects of a 5.9 earthquake in Virginia rattled Lexington Park, Maryland.

There was no damage to the school, and no one was hurt, but teachers and students exited the building as a precaution. Students then waited patiently to re-enter the building.
