CSM Women + Math = Infinite Possibilities
CSM Women + Math = Infinite Possibilities is a one-day event April 26 featuring workshops, presentations and discussions designed to inform young women on careers that rely heavily on math.
The keynote address will be given by Debra Salamon, the lead test engineer of the Marine Corps CH53K Heavy Lift Helicopter Integrated Test Team.
The event is free and open to young women ages 13 and older as well as high school math teachers and parents. The workshops will cover various subjects, including architecture, electrical engineering, microbiology and veterinary medicine.
Registration deadline is April 20. The April 26 event runs from 8:30 am to 3:30 pm at the College of Southern Maryland, La Plata Campus, Center for Business and Industry (BI Building), 8730 Mitchell Road, La Plata.
