St. Mary’s Can Now Pay Taxes Online

St. Mary’s County has now made it possible for residents to handle their tax bills online.

The St. Mary’s County Treasurer’s office’s new online system can be used for real estate tax payments and inquiries on the County Treasurer’s website.

Residents can choose from a number of payment options, such as debit or credit cards (MasterCard, Visa & Discover), and eCheck/ACH transfers. These services are available for a convenience fee of $1.80 for eCheck/ACH transfers and 2.5 percent for credit or debit cards.

Real Estate Tax Online Inquiry is also available. Taxpayers can look at or print St. Mary’s County tax account information for a tax bill online.

The Treasurer’s Office staff has worked closely with the Department of Emergency Services and Technology to provide the best online systems available for St. Mary’s County citizens. It’s anticipated that these new changes will enhance the office’s service to county citizens.

The St. Mary’s County Treasurer’s Office is dedicated to providing excellent customer service to its citizens, while providing timely and accurate financial information to the public and to the St. Mary’s County Commissioners.

The primary function and duty of the St. Mary’s County Treasurer’s Office is the billing and collection of real estate and personal property taxes for the State and County. Other functions include the issuance of motor vehicle registration renewals, liquor licenses, dog tags, deed transfers, business license renewals, and conducting the annual tax sale auction.

These new on-line services are being provided through Bill2Pay, which works closely with the Treasurer’s Office escrow payment company, to have the most accurate data for the payment of St. Mary’s County tax bills. Autoagent Data Solutions, LLC is processing escrow payments.

    Thanks for the article. We had a client pay though the county treasurer’s site and she said it worked great.
