Young Marines, Sheriff’s Office Working Together
Two organizations that actively work to improve the lives of young people and reduce crime in the county have come together to form a partnership, doubling their efforts to create better lives for teens in St. Mary’s County. The St. Mary’s County Sheriff’s Office and the Southern Maryland Young Marines have found a way to combine their efforts.
Walden Raises Awareness of Drug Overdoses
In early September, Walden invited members of the community to participate in International Overdose Awareness Day by walking a complicated maze, encouraging inner reflection and peace. The event, held at Beacon of Hope, was attended by the St. Mary’s County Sheriff’s Office as well as members of the community.
