Four members of the St. Mary’s County Sheriff’s Office graduated from Crisis Intervention Team training. They are correctional officers Donald Murphy and Dylan McCoy and deputies Richard Stillwell and Myles Chase-Johnson.

Members of the St. Mary’s County Sheriff’s Office Community Oriented Policing Unit kicked off a cold-weather gear clothing drive to generate donations for needy residents while drawing attention to National Poverty Awareness Month.

Employees of the St. Mary’s County Sheriff’s Office and Health Department engaged with homeless residents December 21 to provide essential resources and assistance. They distributed bags containing cold-weather survival supplies, including hats, gloves, socks, blankets, hand warmers, and toiletries. The team also offered information about housing alternatives and food banks.
