Officers Complete Crisis Intervention Team Training

Deputy, K-9 Partner Complete Training
St. Mary’s County Sheriff’s Office deputy Joseph Senatore recently completed a six-week K-9 handler training program and already contributed to a successful arrest that led to the recovery of suspected crack cocaine and fentanyl pills.
Two Earn Deputy of the Year Awards
St. Mary’s County deputies were honored as Deputies of the Year at the 2024 Maryland Sheriff’s Association Professional Development Seminar earlier this month. Detective Sgt. Austin Schultz received the Crime Prevention Award, and Deputy Joseph Senatore was recognized with the Traffic Safety Award.
