Substance Recovery Court Receives CMI Check
At the recent graduation of the newly renamed Substance Abuse Recovery Court, John Parlett of CMI was recognized for his $1,000 contribution toward maintaining the operations of the program.
A newly forming committee of community leaders renamed the Adult Drug Court and are searching for ways to replace the funding lost for the St. Mary’s successful program when federal start-up grants expired. Mr. Parlett, a member of the committee, presented his check to Judge Karen Abrams who oversees the court.
The program is credited with successfully intervening in lives that became criminal in nature only as a result of addictions.
