Public Cooling Centers Available July 15-18

Cooling Centers

Due to extreme heat in the forecast, St. Mary’s County government is announcing the availability of cooling centers for the public from Wednesday, July 15, through Saturday, July 18, 2026. Residents who need to take refuge in a cool place can go to one of the following locations:

Charlotte Hall Library

9 a.m. – 8 p.m. (Wednesday – Thursday)
9 a.m. – 5 p.m. (Friday – Saturday)

Garvey Senior Activity Center

8 a.m. – 8 p.m. (Wednesday – Thursday)
8 a.m. – 4:30 p.m. (Friday)

Leonardtown Library
