The Navy will establish a Naval Rapid Capabilities Office to accelerate the development and fielding of new systems. NavSec John Phelan wants to consolidate development efforts under a single entity. As part of the new NRCO, the Maritime Accelerated Response Capability Cell, the Disruptive Capabilities Office, and NavalX will shut down.

Navy Loses Super Hornet Overboard

The USS Harry S. Truman aircraft carrier lost another F/A-18E Super Hornet fighter jet when it fell overboard on Monday along with a tow tractor. In December, a Navy cruiser downed another F/A-18 fighter jet from the Truman in a friendly fire incident. 

Pentagon DEI Content Purged from Websites, Social Media

As DoD works to remove diversity, equity, and inclusion content — photographs, stories, and online posts — from its websites and social media, the majority of the Pentagon purge targets women and minorities. The database of items to be removed includes 26,000 images.
