Transportation Foundation Offers Scholarships
The National Defense Transportation Association is accepting scholarship applications for the 2024-2025 academic year. The Patuxent Partnership is helping to publicize the program.
Deadline April 6 to Apply for SMECO Scholarship
Each year, the Southern Maryland Electric Cooperative awards four $2,500 college scholarships to high school seniors who live in the co-op’s service area. The application deadline is Thursday, April 6, 2023.
Walls Earns Regents Scholarship to UMBC
James Walls, a graduate of College of Southern Maryland, has been named a Gross Regents Scholar, earning a scholarship to attend the University of Maryland, Baltimore County. Walls is a 21-year-old Hughesville resident.
SMECO Scholarship Deadline Approaching
Four high school seniors will be awarded $1,500 each. Students are eligible to apply if they live with parents or guardians who are SMECO customer-members.
