Living history will be making waves at the College of Southern Maryland’s La Plata Campus for three days in July with three Chautauqua 2019 performances.

The College of Southern Maryland will host the 2018 Chautauqua Series on July 10, 11, and 12, beginning at 6:45 each evening at the CSM Fine Arts Building theater at 8730 Mitchell Road in La Plata. The presentations are free.

WWI Remembered With Traveling Exhibit

It’s been 100 years since the US entered World War I, and the Southern Maryland Studies Center is taking the opportunity to honor the sacrifices of local soldiers who have risked their lives, as well as remember the WWI impact on this region.

Kids’ and Teen College programs continue at the College of Southern Maryland in July. Also on the schedule of events for July 2017 are a concert on the Leonardtown Campus lawn and three nights of living history presentations at the La Plata Campus.

CSM Twilight Series Ends 10th Season

The 10th season of the College of Southern Maryland’s Twilight Performance Series has come to an end. For another year audiences were captivated by Chautauqua’s historical portrayals of 20th-century composer Duke Ellington, poet Gwendolyn Brooks, and novelist Ernest Hemingway, as well as musical and theatrical performances.
