In 2021, I gave snarky names to 10 Ospreys who spent their summers within range of my middling telescope and I needed a way to differentiate them. There were so many Osprey through 2023 their poop was a community issue. Then it wasn’t an issue anymore.

US Department of Labor’s October 2016 jobs report shows continued trend of job growth; 142,000 private sector jobs were added and the unemployment rate remained steady at 4.9 percent.
Joseph “Bubby” Knott, owner of the Great Mills Trading Post, will be honored by the Community Foundation of Southern Maryland during its 11th annual Philanthropy Day Luncheon and Celebration of Business Philanthropy. The luncheon is set for 11:30 am to 1:30 pm Nov. 4, 2016, and will be held at the Greater Waldorf Jaycees Community Center in Waldorf, Maryland.
